In 2022, Gilford Community Church (GCC) awarded $40,000 to local nonprofit organizations through the Daniell Fund, an annual grant-making process that begins again this fall.

Launched in 2022 with a substantial endowment gift made by the late Barbara and Robert Daniell, the Daniell Fund seeks to improve and better the lives of those of low to moderate income in the Lakes Region. Areas of philanthropic interest include, but are not restricted to food insecurity and affordable housing.

“We aspire to be a presence that enriches our community,” explained Jessica Fleck, chair of the Daniell Fund Committee and GCC’s Outreach Committee. “From Matthew 25, we seek to feed the hungry, welcome a stranger, clothe the naked, and care for the sick and imprisoned.”

The Daniell Fund awards grants up to $25,000. Applications for support are due December 15, 2023, while grant recipients will be notified by March. To learn more about the Daniell Fund, including how to apply for support, click here.

Why don’t you promote birth control and population reduction for Africa instead of getting wound up about zebras?

You can narrow your search and contact relevant local resources, nonprofit networks, or community foundations for assistance. Always rely on official and verified sources when seeking information about grant opportunities and application processes for nonprofit organizations.
