One Community Project
The "One Community Project" (OCP) started in 2011 as a local Gilford community service event for kids. The focus of each OCP event is to provide local children (and adults) the opportunity to MAKE A DIFFERENCE in our community by helping a fellow neighbor.
Over the years, we have painted and landscaped twelve homes, worked at the town fields, town beach, the Gilford Youth Center, and Gilford Community Church. What makes the OCP so unique, is that it is open to ALL ages. During these three/four day event, we offer opportunities for elementary-age children, Middle and High School students, college students, AND adults! It has been important for our community to come together and provide this act of kindness.

Last year, we had over forty youth and twenty adults, painting, scraping, landscaping, removing trash, deck replacement, roof repairs, window cleaning, mulching, and porch replacement, etc. The One Community Project goes well beyond your basic community service. It’s making a difference in the community, encouraging individuals to participate and devote time and effort to individuals who may need help with taking care of their property. This type of project is infectious, and we hope to reach an even larger number of participants for this year's event.
