At its recent Annual Meeting, the Gilford Community Church recognized two members with their “Outstanding Volunteer Award.” The 2024 award recipients are Lisa Buckley and Geoff Ruggles.
Lisa Buckley helps with a variety of needs at the church and is always available at a moment’s notice. “Her care and concern for others in our building and the greater community, is unwavering”, said Pastor Michael Graham. She was instrumental last year in organizing our Hurricane Relief collection, making several deliveries of the many items collected. Lisa visits homebound members, keeps our small food pantry stocked and organized, along with helping our Outreach Committee make the largest impact possible. We are so grateful for the time she gives here at GCC.
Geoff Ruggles, aside from his regular volunteer duties as Treasurer for the church, stepped in to fill a recent staff vacancy and was key in making the transition for everyone as easy as possible. He is always willing to help and his contribution to our Finance Department has been vital.
“We are so fortunate to have such amazing, dedicated members, it truly is our greatest asset here at GCC”, added Graham.
