Outreach Programs - Stewardship & Social Action
Central to our identity and the church's mission is our outreach beyond the walls of our church building. Our Outreach committee oversees the church's work in this area. They allocated funds to various charitable organizations locally, nationally and internationally.
Some of the organizations include: Neighbors in Need, Habitat for Humanity, New Beginnings, Ozanam Place, Doctors without Borders, The American Red Cross, American Indian College Fund, and Oxfam. In addition to the financial support we provide, the congregation is involved in numerous hands-on projects. Lunches are served at the Salvation Army's Friendly Kitchen the 4th Friday of every month. We send care packages to soldiers and families in Iraq. We have volunteered at the Lakes Region Habitat for Humanity, and we make and distribute Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets to those in need in our community.
Central to the message of Jesus is addressing the real needs of our world and we strive to work hard for justice.
