Annual Chili, Chowdah and Chocolate !
On Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. the very popular Chili, Chowdah and Chocolate event will be held in our Fellowship Hall.

This year we are asking that EVERY family who attends also brings a crockpot full of a favorite chowder or chili, or a favorite chocolate dessert.  (We almost ran out of food last year!).  We are also asking that you write on an index card the ingredients of your dish so that those with allergies know what they are eating!  Don't sign the card, as voters do not know WHO made the dish they are voting for!

Seniors, (age 70 and over), who are unable to bring a dish, are asked to contribute $5.00 toward the cost of beverages!

Call the church office (524-6057)or sign-up downstairs at the church  to reserve your space and to tell us what you are bringing.

There will be a first prize and honorable mention awarded in each category.  Winners receive full bragging rights for one year!

Questions?  Call Warren Hutchins  581-4974.

Message from Pastor Michael Graham...
Churches come in a variety of shapes and sizes; what makes each place unique is the people gathered.

Churches are one of the few institutions where people of all ages play an important role. We share life toge Pastor Michael Grahamther and make the passage from childhood to adulthood in the presence of others. How wonderful it is to make the passage through life with people who care for you.

I love the intergenerational flavor of the Gilford Community Church; where young and old regularly come together, where children aren’t spoken "to" but are invited to join in the wonderful conversation of faith. The enthusiasm of our children, the idealism of our youth and young adults, and the wisdom of our elders, all blend together to make this a vibrant, hope-filled community.
